RVR SPRING 2025 SALE #2

LOT 1
Ranch Tag J34
SIRE: 1Oak
DAM: Huston Donor "Bugs"
BREED(S): Maine, Black Cross, Simmi
dob: 6/15/2024
This calf is the only calf in the offering that we don’t own the donor dam. He’s a result of a bred recip purchase by Junior from Mike Huston and boy are we glad we did. Junior had two full sib recips and our comes this stud plus his sister who is standing in our keeper pen. We read this calf as a sale hole grabbing Class 4 - Class 6 Fort Worth exotic. He has all the big features for him to really stick out. Cool colored, huge haired, neat necked, and THA big legs. Really awesome haired calf to lead off our sale!
LOT 2
Ranch Tag 232
SIRE: Here I Am
DAM: Vestal Donor Dixie
BREED(S): Maine, European Cross, AOC, Simmi
dob: 8/2/2024
This black and white stud has been an absolute unit since the day he was born. Junior called me within 30 seconds of this calf hitting the ground, and said “We got him. We got the one.” It’s not everyday you get to see calves built like him. Lot 2 is special and we certainly hope you can see it as much as we do. He had massive hair but it’s hard to imagine him not slicking off. San Antonio, Houston, OYE…. This calf is as versatile as he is good. We are very fortunate to raise a calf like him. Our donor “Dixie” delivered the goods in her inaugural flush.
LOT 3
Ranch Tag 258
SIRE: Solid Gold
DAM: Vestal Donor 235
BREED(S): Gert, ABC, American Cross
dob: 8/7/2024
FULL SIB to the Reserve Grand Steer at Fort Worth 2024. This yellow calf is a product of our well known 235 donor who has had 7 major champions in her career. We think she can continue that legacy with this calf. Lot 3 had great hair as a baby but we think this calf would be a stud in the Gert or ABC divisions at San Antonio or Houston. He’s extremely burly with monster feet, and has a giant groove down his entire top line. Just look at those feet! You put this dude’s head up, and he comes together big time! Check out that tied up cell phone video! We love this calf. He has a very good chance to add on to his momma’s major champ trophy case.
LOT 4
Ranch Tag 1/45
SIRE: The Wolf
DAM: Vestal Donor 1/45
BREED(S): Brangus, American Cross, Gert
dob: 8/15/2024
This calf is out of an awesome cow we purchased as a virgin heifer from Faris Simon a few years back. Lot 4 is the result of us finally getting the opportunity to breed her for a club calf. Boy did she deliver! Just like his momma, Lot 4 has some wild features. Cobra necked, MASSIVE muscles, and big feet. He had the big soft hair as a baby. You could either take a run at the middles at Fort Worth or go contend in the Brangus show at San Antonio or Houston. Either way, this calf should stick out amongst his piers when the bright lights are on. TANK!
*** Calf is still intact and sells as a steer. There is no option to keep him as a bull. This will be strictly enforced. Castration arrangements will be made between RVR and the Buyer.
LOT 5
Ranch Tag 239
SIRE: The Wolf
DAM: Vestal Donor 999 - "IBB"
BREED(S): Simbrah, American Cross, Gert
dob: 8/1/2024
Lot 5 is the first of a few big time full sib steer prospects from the mating The Wolf x IBB. You are about to see some cool stuff out of this combination and its consistency. Lot 5 is the slicking Simbrah of the group. He wasn’t blessed with the big hair like his bros, but he was gifted with the big muscles required to contend at San Antonio or Houston. Go check out the cell phone videos and cell pics. This thing is very intriguing to us. He’s got some really unique pieces. We left the cajones on him to mature even further in his character. He should settle in well over time, given his genetics. We have high hopes for this calf.

LOT 6
Ranch Tag 149
SIRE: The Wolf
DAM: Vestal Donor 8111
BREED(S): Gert, ABC, American Cross
dob: 8/7/2024
Lot 6 is a versatile calf. He had good hair and definitely has the performance, genetically, behind him to land in the Heavys at Fort Worth. However, he has the hip shape and neat neck to slick and play in the Gerts at San Antonio or Houston. High quality calf. We left the cajones on him to mature even further in his character. He should settle in well over time, given his genetics.

LOT 7
Ranch Tag 267
SIRE: Here I Am
DAM: Vestal Donor Dixie
BREED(S): Angus, Black Cross, European Cross, Maine
dob: 8/8/2024
ANGUS. Middle weight at Fort Worth or slick him off and be in the heavys at San Antonio or Houston. This calf is a full sib to the Black and White Lot 3 calf. Dixie went 2 for 2 for us! He had the bad recip, as a result he’s the skinnier of the two. Lot 7 has really put it on as of late. He’s probably got the most upside of any calf in the sale. He’s got perfect structure. Perfect feet. Big legs. A nice high neck set, a pristine top line, and is an absolute cat. Ask Junior what he thinks of this one. Huge upside. Pour the feed and watch him go.
LOT 8
Ranch Tag 234
SIRE: Here I Am
DAM: Vestal Donor 1/1
BREED(S): Black Cross, European Cross, Maine
dob: 7/28/2024
Lot 8 probably should be in our 3rd sale at the end of April. He’s easily the greenest calf in the entire sale. Regardless, he is built extremely well. He had a wonky recip and he’s just a nickel behind the rest. Do a deep dive into this one, and you can see he belongs in this deep group of calves. His mama isn’t called “One of One” for nothing. She’s out of one of the very best cows in Doris’s Lot 1 donor. Big genetics in this calf.
LOT 9
Ranch Tag 7805
SIRE: Here I Am
DAM: Vestal Donor 55H - "Miss Madrid"
BREED(S): Black Cross, European Cross
Lightweight Fort Worth special! This little stud is out of one of my favorite donors, Miss Madrid / 55H. She’s already had a few placing calves at Fort Worth and has an absolute hammer being shown at OYE in the coming weeks. Lot 9 might be the hairiest animal we have sold all year. We really like this one for anyone trying to catch a sale hole or better in the Lightweight division at Fort Worth.
Disclosure - he had pink eye in both eyes at the same time and we recently took both patches off of him. He’s recovering fine and expect his vision to improve pretty rapidly. It’s nothing we feel like will affect his performance whatsoever.
LOT 10
Ranch Tag 248
SIRE: Take Me To Church
DAM: Donor 61H - "Barbie"
BREED(S): Black Cross, European Cross, Limi, Maine
dob: 8/22/2024
Godzilla, Lot 10, had a soft spot in our hearts. He’s a product of a terminal flush on his mother “Barbie”. This mating has worked so well for us in the past that we had to do it again before Barbie went to donor heaven. Boy did she do good. Not only did we get Godzilla but got a heifer that is possibly the best heifer we raised this year. And that’s saying something. Junior called Lot 10 Godzilla from the moment he was born. You should see the baby pics of him. Grotesque features. Monster pieces. He another calf that could have been placed in our Late April sale and would look like a man after another 30 days of feeding. This calf and Lots 7 & 8 have easily the most upside of the entire group. This mating has done us good. Tie on to this one. We believe in him and his potential.
LOT 11
Ranch Tag 0852
SIRE: Here I Am
DAM: Vestal Embry Donor 0226
BREED(S): Charolais, AOC, European Cross
dob: 5/2/2024
This silver brockle is very intriguing to us. He has a lot of great slick shearing qualities about him. Monster assed, massive groved topped, and wicked necked. If this calf bellies down, and relaxes (decides to be a show steer), he could end up being the steal of the entire sale. His momma is the burliest IGWT female I have ever seen. We fully believe this calf could hit the right gear and make someone look incredibly smart. This one is not 1st year or little kid approved. Older, more experienced showman preferred.
LOT 12
Ranch Tag 227
SIRE: In God We Trust
DAM: Vestal DOnor 600
BREED(S): Charolais, AOC, European Cross
dob: 8/1/2024
The meat and potatoes calf of the group. He’s the slick shearing, sale hole making calf for San Antonio or Houston or one of these spring county fairs. I have kept 3 or 4 full sib heifers to this calf. This mating reads the same on all of the them. Burley, big footed, awesome wheels, and just plain good feeding livestock. Added bonus…. I think this calf has a touch of brindle on his top line. I think this calf is going to look pretty unique once the hair comes off…. Go check out that cell video. Concentrate when I video him over his top line.
LOT 13
Ranch Tag 242
SIRE: Here I Am
DAM: Vestal Donor 999 - "IBB"
BREED(S): Simbrah, American Cross, Gert
dob: 8/1/2024
If you ask me which one I would take to the Granddaddy of them all, the Fort Worth American show, 242 would be my pick. Another The Wolf x IBB smoke show. This calf has all the big, hard to make pieces. Super high setting neck, big feet, huge bones, massive, hard muscles, BURLEY, and has the monster, soft shag. He’s been special since the day he was born. With his very UNIQUE white marks on his head, this one should be easy to find in Cowtown. The word creature can be appropriately applied to this one.
LOT 14
Ranch Tag 228
SIRE: The Wolf
DAM: Vestal Donor 999 - "IBB"
BREED(S): Brangus, American Cross, Gert
dob: 7/28/2024
It’s very hard to make them like this… he’s exactly what I had in mind when I purchased his daddy, The Wolf. This calf is an ELITE Brangus that should do a lot of winning all year long. Incredible feet, ridiculous presence, and undeniable muscle shape. The Wolf x IBB (It’s Britney B*tch) is a no miss combo. Lot 14 has what it takes to really do something special.
